A Dental Assistant Associates Degree program trains an individual with knowledge and skills to be able to perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties such as how to work along side dentists while they examine patients, how to sterilize instruments, how to prepare patients for treatment, and the responsibilities of laboratory duties. In addition, a Dental Assistant Degree program will teach an individual basic dental terminology as well as certain dental procedures.
