An Associates in Massage Therapy will prepare an individual with the basic knowledge and skills of massage therapy techniques to control pain, reduce stress, and promote relaxation in a healthcare facility. An individual will learn the scientific language and concepts of the body systems. In addition, a Massage Therapy Degree will train an individual on how to obtain the basic medical history for a client, assess any problems or conditions, and suggest appropriate massage techniques based on current health of client. A Massage Therapy Degree can be earned at top-ranked colleges and universities nationwide. An average starting salary with an Associate Degree in Massage Therapist is about $42,321. A Bachelor degree and/or experience in the field may be required to earn starting salary. |
