An Associate in Medical Office Assisting Degree program prepares an individual with basic technical and business skills necessary in a medical office, insurance office, or hospital. An individual may have the opportunity to explore many aspects of medical assisting including medical insurance coding, medical transcription, and medical billing. An Associates in Medical Office Assisting Degree program of their medical an individual will also have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with common medical terminology, anatomy and physiology. An average starting salary with an Associate Degree in Medical Office Assisting is about $33,250 per year. A bachelor degree and/or experience may be required to earn the starting salary. A graduate will have the opportunity to work as a Medical Office Assistant, Medical Administrative Assistant, Patient Representative, and Administrative Assistant with a Medical Office Assisting Degree. |
