Graphic Design - Associate in Specialized Technology

The objectives of the Graphic Design program are to provide students with knowledge of the graphic design industry and history, today’s design trends, and the future demands of print and web design, animation, and multimedia. The program teaches the necessary skills for an entry-level job in today’s graphic design industry. The student will learn the skills valued by employers in graphic design such as print design, frontend web design, photography, and file preparation for commercial and digital printing.

Employment Objectives:
Graduates of the Graphic Design degree program will be able to seek entry-level employment in the industry with employers such as advertising agencies, corporate in-house art departments, design studios, printing companies, newspapers, magazines, book publishers, outdoor communications, and others. The positions available to graduates include, but are not limited to, production artists, graphic designers, layout artists, preflight technician, Photoshop specialists, photographers, illustrators, and freelance graphic designers.
