The Bachelor in Science degree in Criminal Justice is designed to provide students with a comprehensive introduction to the criminal justice field and enable them to pursue positions in the field of protective services, to advance within their field if they are already employed in the area of criminal justice, and to pursue more advanced study at the master’s level. The curriculum has been designed to provide students with a solid base in the discipline that affords a balance of theory and application, while allowing them to explore one or more specialty areas corresponding to their particular career ambitions. This criminal justice program enables students to explore and prepare for careers in federal, state, or local law enforcement, private investigations, corrections, probation and parole, private protective security, and as providers of security to firms concerned with incidences of computer crime.
