MSN – General Nursing (CCNE-accredited)

In this specialization, part of Capella's CCNE-accredited MSN degree program, you have the flexibility to choose one of six emphases—choose any pairing of diabetes nursing, gerontology nursing, nurse educator, and nursing leadership and administration. Grow your knowledge of health care systems and policies, patient education, health promotion, and technology integration. Explore current theory, new research, and evidence-based nursing practices in a program that incorporates The Essentials of Master's Education for Advanced Practice Nursing established by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN). Put your courseroom learning into real-world action through five field experiences, each connected to a course in your emphasis. People who choose this specialization are often seeking roles as nurse educators, diabetes specialists, gerontological nurses, or nurse executives in a variety of health care delivery settings.
