MSN – RN-to-MSN Nurse Educator (CCNE-accredited)

Acquire an advanced knowledge of nursing theory and practice. Understand the design, delivery, assessment, and evaluation of nurse education programs. This specialization, part of Capella’s CCNE-accredited MSN program, is modeled on the Essentials of Master's Education for Advanced Practice Nursing established by the American Association of Colleges. Successful graduates of this program are often registered nurses pursuing advanced positions as nurse educators or clinical nurse leaders in higher education institutions, health care organizations, or the military. With this specialization, you will learn how to: Incorporate theories of adult learning and nursing in nursing education; Design, develop, evaluate, and revise nursing and health-related curricula; Adapt teaching strategies and practices for a diverse population and workforce; Assess achievement of learning outcomes and the effectiveness of nursing and health-related education.
