Certified Nursing Assistant
The CNA program at Career Point College is a short-term program that is designed to provide students the skills and abilities essential to the provision of basic care to patients and residents in hospitals and long-term care facilities. Certified Nursing Assistants, or CNAs, typically work with physically or mentally ill, injured, disabled, or infirm individuals in hospitals, nursing care facilities, and mental health settings. Tasks include a range of responsibilities from helping patients eat, dress and bathe to taking vitals and helping medical staff set up equipment. CNAs work anywhere from hospitals, to mental health and substance abuse facilities. |
