Network Support Specialist

Network Support Specialists are skilled in the complex process of installing, configuring, and maintaining all of the components of a computer system network. Network Support Specialists commonly provide their clients with system maintenance and security, as well as the establishment of policies and protocol for implementing that maintenance and security.

In the workplace, Network Support Specialists typically demonstrate mastery in the fundamentals of customer service, person-to-person communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills, in addition to stress management.

Network Support Specialists are experienced in many different network types including specializations such as Novell and Cisco systems. Additional general capabilities include Web-page design, and various Visual Basic Programming techniques to assist the client or user in attaining solutions to their problems.
