Working under the supervision of a physical therapist, physical therapy assistants help patients recover from illnesses and injuries by providing various treatment programs. Physical therapy assistants help patients improve or restore mobility, relieve pain, or provide preventative treatments from physical disabilities and diseases. Exercises, massages, and ultrasounds are just some of the methods Physical Therapist Assistants will use to maximize the movement potential in their patients. Responsibilities also include recording treatment responses and results from patients to the physical therapist.
