According to the Project Management Institute® (PMI), demand is high for project managers with technical and leadership skills.1 Colorado Technical University offers a Master of Business Administration degree with a Project Management concentration that integrates business foundation courses with project management. This MBA concentration is accredited by the ACBSP and the PMI Global Accreditation Center for Project Management Education Programs (GAC).

The curriculum covers the nine knowledge areas specified by the Project Management Institute in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). This program provides you with the opportunity to integrate business foundation courses with the theory and the practice of project management. You will also have the opportunity to develop capabilities in constructing plans, analyzing project scope, determining needs and budgets, performing quality audits and assessing risk. In a capstone course, you will be expected to produce a complete project plan, demonstrating project integration and management of projects within a program, use project management software to manage cost, time, and resources.
