Digital Graphics & Multimedia Design
Passionate about art and design? Creative? Put these talents to work for you. Our program will provide you with working knowledge of the standard graphic design computer programs and enable you to transform abstract concepts into compelling visuals, providing the practical skills you need for a rewarding career. Through hands-on experience, you’ll learn the fundamentals of graphic design. You’ll create layouts, illustrations, multimedia presentations, and more using both hand-drawn and industry standard software.
Graphic designers use a variety of print, electronic, and film media to create designs that meet client needs. Most graphic designers use computer software to generate new images. They design promotional displays and marketing brochures for products and services, develop distinctive company logos for products and businesses, and create visual designs of annual reports and other corporate literature. Additionally, graphic designers, usually under the supervision of a design or artist director, develop the overall layout and design of magazines, newspapers, journals, corporate reports, and other publications. Many graphic designers develop the graphics and layout of internet websites. Graphic designers also produce the credits that appear before and after television programs and movies. In our fast-paced world, graphic design has leaped from the printed page into exciting new avenues of multimedia computer/video presentations and internet web page design. You'll design and create web sites and produce interactive presentations with animation, video and sound. |
