Health Information Technician

Graduates of this program are prepared to seek entry level employment as a medical records/ health information technician in hospitals, physician offices, nursing care facilities, out patient care centers and home health services. Insurance firms that deal w/ health matters and public health departments also hire entry level medical records/health information technicians. Graduate who take specific course work and who possess expertise within the topic will be encourage to take industry certification exams for that discipline.
