Patient Care Technician
The objective of the Patient Care Technician program is to prepare the student with theoretical knowledge and practical skills to obtain an entry level position to care for patients in a variety of settings, such as hospitals and nursing homes. Students will also possess additional specialized clinical skills to function in a physician's office, clinic or acute care setting. The program's objectives support and reflect Fortis College's commitment to career training with an emphasis on skills, attitude and work habits consistent with good business practices. This program provides students, through its core courses, with the skills and knowledge necessary for entry-level employment in their field. Through the combination of skill enhancement, knowledge building and hands-on practice that maximizes the opportunities for success of Fortis College's graduates. |
