Pharmacy Technology
The purpose of the Pharmacy Technology program is to provide students with a foundation of education to enter pharmacy practice as a certified pharmacy technician. Through structured classroom and laboratory-based experiences, students will be exposed to a variety of skill sets relating to the pharmacy technician career path, including retail pharmacy, institutional pharmacy, non-sterile compounding, and aseptic compounding. Upon completion of the diploma program, students should be well prepared for professional entry as a pharmacy technician and to sit for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE) offered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the (ExCPT) exam offered by the National Health Career Association. |
