The ability to both tell a story through the use of words and images and to distribute narratives through a variety of media formats are now standard skills required of creative writers in the entertainment industry.

In the Creative Writing Master of Fine Arts Online Degree Program, storytelling is not merely taught as it relates to the typical output mediums of print and publishing. To keep pace with the needs and evolution of the industry, the program will teach students the necessary skills to pursue and qualify for professional creative writing careers within the world of entertainment. The program will explore the art of storytelling and the language of different mediums, such as film, television, animation, and gaming. Students will learn the writing process from concept to completion and apply the courses’ techniques to projects.
