Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Health Care Administration
The Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Administration provides students with the understanding of the role of public policies and politics in the healthcare industry, the various component sectors, and the planning methods used within the healthcare field. Combining courses in management, finance and risk management with a specialized healthcare track, GMU’s Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Management focuses on building the skills that can help a person learn how to oversee daily functions. The Business Administration Concentration in Health Administration degree covers all aspects of Health Administration in an accelerated, cohort-based degree format offered online and on-ground. Students will learn about the various philosophies that govern the healthcare field, including motivation and leadership. With lessons geared toward the current work place, the program will develop and strengthen the student’s ability to run an organization and to manage that organization’s human capital. The core curriculum challenges students to explore the organizational structure of healthcare institutions and healthcare delivery and develop an understanding of the interrelatedness of psychological, social, cultural and political factors in healthcare delivery, organizational culture and healthcare management. |
