Computer Network and Cloud Technologies
The successful student in the KTI Computer Network and Internet Technologies Diploma program will learn the hard and soft skills pertaining to the use of computers on the Microsoft operating platform. These hard skills will prepare the graduate to define, install, implement and maintain computer hardware, software and peripherals to the level, which would position the graduate to pursue certifications offered by Comp-Tia, Microsoft and CISCO. More specifically the student will learn to build and maintain computers, install networks on various topologies in use and troubleshoot the operation of a various number of software packages, gain a working knowledge of the latest technology and ultimately be able to enter the workforce with an in depth working skill set related to the field of computers, networking, internet, security and wireless technologies. Furthermore the student will be taught the importance of soft skills in the computer industry. The successful graduate will possess soft skills such as human relations in the workplace, customer service, verbal communications, research, career search techniques and the work ethic expected by employers as those skills refer to attendance, respect and critical thinking skills. The successful graduate from this program can expect to seek and secure employment as a Help Desk Administrator, Computer Technician, Network Administrator, Computer Systems Administrator, Network Systems Analyst. Specifically the standard occupational classified from the U.S. Department of Labor that a graduate would be prepared to work in are 15-1041 Computer Support Specialists; 15-1071 Network and Computer Systems Administrator, 15-1081 Network Systems and Data Communications Analysts, 49-2011 Computer Automated Teller and Office machine Repairers (this classification would be limited to the computers and word processing systems). |
