What Do Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) Do?
CNAs work with nurses and physicians to monitor and care for patients. They work in clients' homes, in hospitals and in long-term care facilities like assisted living and nursing homes. They look after patients by helping them fulfill basic needs. Job duties include:

Serving meals and feeding patients who are unable to do so themselves
Cleaning and bathing patients
Taking and recording vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure and heart rate
Recording changes in patient behavior and reporting changes to a nurse or physician

What Will You Learn In CNA Training?

CNA training will teach you how to properly and safely care for patients. The Nursing Assistant program at Miller-Motte Technical College will not only give you the skills to interact with and care for patients, it will also help prepare you for the CNA certification exam. You’ll learn things like:

Medical Terminology
How to safely position and transfer a patient from a bed to a wheelchair and vice versa
