Medical Assistant

This program prepares you as a Medical Assistant for Clinical and Administrative capacity. This 8-month (30-week) Program builds your fundamental knowledge and understanding of basic human anatomy and common pathology; learn the use of Medical Terminology as it relates to the clinical environment; and become skilled in routine diagnostic laboratory procedures, assisting in routine patient examinations and surgical procedures, and understand the administration of medications, as well as your legal and ethical responsibilities. Graduates receive a Medical Assistant Diploma, EKG Certificate, Injection Certificate, and CPR health care provider level; Graduates are also eligible to take the examination for Certification by the California Medical Assistant Association. |
