Through the facial specialist program, students learn the scientific principles and fundamentals related to the structure and function of the skin. Students will become knowledgeable in proper procedures and skin care techniques. The facial specialist instruction includes hair removal, waxing, basic therapeutic massage techniques, make-up artistry and aroma therapy. Additionally there is focus on business and client development as it relates to this industry. A certificate is awarded to graduates of this program. This program trains students for entry-level skills for facial specialist employment. Graduates are able to apply to become Registered Facial Specialist in the Sate of Florida through the Board of Cosmetology, Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
