Diploma - Airframe and Powerplant

Redstones Airframe and Powerplant program offers you industry expertise and connections so you can make a secure living doing what you like to do. It helps prepare you to get an entry-level position in the industry and take the FAA certification exam in under 18 months. Many of your hands-on classes will take place in simulated work environments, so you get the skills and experience you need to help attract employers-and succeed.

We make sure our curriculum gives you the skills that industry wants. To develop our programs, we have advisory boards with representatives from major airlines, aircraft manufacturers and aircraft and powerplant maintenance companies to stay current with the latest industry needs.

Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics
A&P mechanics work on all parts of the plane, except instruments. Powerplant mechanics are authorized to work on engines and do limited work on propellers. Airframe mechanics work on any part of the aircraft except the instruments, powerplants, and propellers.
