Pharmacy Technology
Learn how to support a licensed pharmacist and assist them with patient consultations with SBBCollege’s Pharmacy Technology program. General duties of a pharmacy technician include dispensing medications, assembling daily supplies of medication, stocking and inventorying prescriptive and over-the-counter medications, preparing commercially unavailable medications, maintaining patient medical records, repackaging medications, and delivering medications. Graduates of the SBBCollege Associate’s Degree in Pharmacy Technology will be ready to work with pharmacists in this function. Our program also includes the basic skills that are necessary in order to deal with pharmacists and the prescriptions that they dispense; including an emphasis on communication and customer service in relation to the processing, preparation and distribution of prescriptions and explanation of the medication to patients. |
