Barbering

The word “barber” brings up a lot of old fashioned images – but modern barbering is a whole new adventure.

Austin’s School of Spa Technology is the only school in the area which offers a Barbering program where you can learn traditional barbering techniques and skills, with a cutting-edge flair. As a barbering student, you will learn from instructors who have real world experience. Plus, you will receive hands-on training with CHI Man products and Andis styling tools.

Through our program you can train to become a barber in as little as 30 weeks. Upon completion of this 600-hour program you will be awarded a certificate and qualify to apply for a New York State Professional Barbering License.
