As technology continues to permeate every aspect of our lives, many employers are transferring its operations to the cloud in an effort to keep files and other information secure and easily accessible.
To keep up with the rapidly growing trend, many companies are seeking out those who have earned a computer science degree or online computer science degree who can specialize in cloud computing. According to Wanted Analytics, in the past 90 days, employers and staffing agencies posted more than 10,000 ads for jobs dealing with the cloud, a 61 percent increase from the same period last year.
“Cloud will help increase the speed of development and change," said Kevin Daley of IBM and the Open Group Business Forum, according to Cloud Times. "The business architect will be called upon to ensure the strategic relevancy of transformation in a repeatable fashion as cycle times and rollouts happen faster."
In addition to information technology jobs, employers were seeking workers who could deal with the cloud as it relates to marketing, sales, customer service, and cargo and freight.
