Academy of Art University is the largest accredited private art and design university in the nation. Academy of Art University is an accredited member of WASC, NASAD, CIDA (BFA-IAD, MFA-IAD) and NAAB (B.Arch*, M.Arch).
*B.Arch is currently in candidacy status.
Academy of Art University requires all students in undergraduate degree-seeking programs to have a high school degree or an equivalency.
And admission to the graduate programs requires official transcripts indicating at least the completion of a bachelor's degree, submission of a portfolio of work (portfolio requirements vary by discipline), a statement of intent outlining graduate study goals, a resume and two letters of recommendation.
