Drafting Technology - Associate in Specialized Technology
The students will acquire the necessary skill to use computer-aided drafting (CAD) software to create 2D drawings and schematics, and 3D assemblies, and 3D models. Students work with AutoCAD®, Autodesk Inventor®, SolidWorks®, and other cutting edge software to prepare drawings for engineers in construction, design, service, mechanical and manufacturing industries. Students are introduced to dimensioning and tolerancing, and gain practical experience in drafting labs equipped with state-of-the-art computers, latest version software, a color plotter and 3D printer. Employment Objectives The graduate of this program will develop entry-level skills for employment in drafting positions that include but are not limited to: Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Mechanical, Civil, HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing fields. |
