According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the demand for human resources, training and labor relations specialists is slated to increase by 24 percent over the next eight years. Because individuals who hold certifications or college degrees in this field are expected to have the best employment prospects, applicants may want to consider enrolling in a related program at a campus-based or online college.

Fortunately, there are many convenient options for these individuals to gain marketable skills without falling behind on their current professional responsibilities or job-seeking efforts.

For instance, a North Carolina-based school recently launched a new certificate program in business conflict management that is intended to serve busy students, such as working adults or MBA degree seekers.

Enrollees will take classes on subjects such as crisis management, conflict in the workplace, policy and procedure design, threat assessment strategy as well as workplace violence prevention and intervention. The curriculum is intended to teach students how defuse problems among employees in a way that will lead to positive outcomes, according to school officials.
