Associate in Applied Science in Architectural Drafting & Design

In this program, you will get hands-on practice in creating accurate drawings, 2-D and 3-D models, materials lists and building specifications. Course topics include the following:

AutoCAD software
Materials and methods, including strength of materials
Residential and commercial building codes, estimating and construction drawings
Field documentation
Building systems (electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling)
Green Design and LEED

Near the end of your studies, you will pull all the topics and training together. In your architectural capstone course you will assemble a portfolio of your best work to present to employers. You will also receive personal career services assistance--before and after graduation.
