Because higher education is quickly becoming the key to career development, many campus-based and online colleges are working to create degree programs that can fit into the busy schedules of working professionals.

Business administration degree holders are in particularly high demand, which has prompted some schools to cater to the educational demands of working students.

For instance, a California-based school recently created an MBA program that will combine online college courses and evening classes to ensure that degree seekers can finish school within two years, Noozhawk reports.

Enrollees will be required to attend classroom-based courses two nights per week and complete the rest of their coursework on a web-based platform. Individuals who choose to pursue similar degree programs may take classes on subjects such as managerial finance or the legal and regulatory aspects of business.

These courses of study could help working students increase their salaries after they graduate. According to PayScale.com, a research company, MBA degree holders typically earn between $48,280 and $211,651 per year, depending on their position and years of experience.
