Medical Assisting

Medical Assistants are integral members of the healthcare team who work alongside physicians, nurses, and other medical practitioners. The medical assistant is versatile and can perform both administrative and clinical duties in a variety of medical environments. In addition to recording patient histories and updating their charts, the medical assistant can assist the physician during examinations and in minor surgery.

PTI's Medical Assisting program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) permitting graduates to sit for their certification exam.
