Educators have a rewarding and challenging career; one that is constantly changing, and evolving with new information, tools, and methods with which to teach their students. Now, with the implementation of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, there is a demand for teachers to be not only qualified, but highly qualified. The Professional Development for Teachers program at Kaplan University is specifically designed for current practicing K-12 teachers who are focused on improving their teaching experience as well as their students' learning experience. Participants in this program will work together in online teams to compare data, and examine student performance as they apply the job-embedded exercises and activities they learn in the course in their own classroom. As teachers require a flexible post-grad schedule, Kaplan's Graduate School of Education allows for this. Students can choose to take 2 to 10 credits over a 6 week semester. These courses may be taken in a series or individually, whatever is best for you. |
